San Ignacio, Belize January 2025

This is 8 month old Brielle Hanson and her mother Tracey from Belmopan, Belize. Brielle was born with cleft palate, which is an opening in the roof of her mouth that makes it very difficult to eat and speak normally. There are no surgeons in Belize able to perform the surgery needed to correct this. Patients like this rely on missionary doctors to help them. This week the Healing Hands Abroad Team was able to successfully perform the surgery for Brielle.

This is Elias Chuc from Belmopan. He was stabbed in his arm almost a year ago and developed a large vascular mass. He has been unable to work because of it and no doctors here in Belize were able to help him. The HHA Team was able to remove it and Elias will be returning to work as a mechanic.
